How is Rating Calculated

The subs rating is calculated like a Google rating. It is your lifetime rating with Senya. Each job rating can affect your current rating positively or negatively.

Special Circumstances

There are special modifications for certain months:

If no school is scheduled for at least 2 weeks in a calendar month, and no other substitute jobs are available in the area, modifications are made to allow subs to reach higher tiers with fewer jobs:

  • Achieve tier 2 after 4 jobs
  • Achieve tier 3 after 7 jobs
  • Achieve tier 4 after 10 jobs

Other Rules

Last minute cancellation policy:
  1. If you accept a job, remember you are committing to the school that you will be there to teach that class. Please don't take that responsibility lightly! We understand that emergencies happen that sometimes necessitate cancelling a job. If you do need to cancel, please do all you can to cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the job starting, so we can try to get another sub to fill the job.
  2. If you cancel less than 24 hours of the job start time, it will be considered a 'Last Minute Cancellation'. You will be reminded that if you proceed to cancel, you will be back on tier 1 for the next 5 consecutive jobs.
Minimum 4 star rating:
  1. Each school will rate you on a scale of 1-5 stars after you have completed your job.
  2. To be eligible to stay on the tier program, you must maintain a minimum of a 4 star average. If at anytime you go below a 4 star average, you will be back on tier 1.
